EVENTS

When I undertake videographic projects for companies, I’m often asked to take photos, and I happily agree. Capturing people's expressions is essential for a company's branding as they reflect the organization's ethos and showcase the success of events. It's important to photograph authentic interactions, where individuals are unaware of the photographer, as these moments add genuineness to the images, creating a personal connection for viewers, even if they haven't experienced the event firsthand. Authentic representation is crucial in marketing and recruitment, as people are more likely to engage with brands they can relate to. In our social media-centric world, establishing a strong visual presence is vital without breaking the budget, and hiring skilled photographers can foster positive impressions of your business, attracting future customers. Make sure to capture these moments with professionals who appreciate the significance of detail and the narrative you wish to convey.

INTERIORS

As a creative individual, I am always discovering new and innovative ways to capture and document the world around me. By maintaining a dynamic and evolving portfolio, I can manage my creative output in a way that keeps work feeling like an extension of my hobby. My passion for photography, combined the opportunity to make a living from it, makes my work feel like play, which is truly amazing. I have experience with tilt-shift lenses and wide-angle panoramas, perfect for photographing large interior spaces. Recently, I created an interior design video for a client, and the results were fantastic. I find this type of work fulfilling as it allows me to explore the intricacies of interior spaces and how light interacts with architectural forms. It's essential to acknowledge the designers who thoughtfully choose fabrics, upholstery, and plants, as collaborating with these experts fosters a sense of teamwork, especially during the final edits where color palettes, camera angles, and timing all contribute to a stunning showcase for the client.

LIFESTYLE

My passion for fine wine and dining grew when I started working at Hakkasan in the early 2000s. As a newcomer to London, I was grateful to be part of that beautiful Michelin-starred restaurant located in Hanway Place. As a sommelier, I explored remarkable wines from around the world, exquisite French selections and Australian varieties. Serving various celebrities, from Anjelica Houston to the King of Jordan, was thrilling, but my appreciation deepened for the stories behind each wine, influenced by their surroundings. I enjoy sharing these narratives, as they forge connections and inspire imagination. Likewise lifestyle photography captures a product's essence and engages the senses, emphasising a subtle, artistic aesthetic that enriches the marketing experience.

Portraiture, for me, is a deeply expressive act that captures a fleeting moment where light and shadow intertwine to define the human face. It invites reflection, allowing viewers to ponder the emotions of the subject and the story behind that moment. As a photographer, I appreciate the entire portraiture process, from our initial interaction—be it through email or a chance encounter—to the actual shoot, where the connection established with the subject significantly influences the final image. When see ourselves in a photograph, it feels like time has paused; we can revisit moments of beauty, even when we felt unworthy or pressured at the time, revealing the contrasts between our inner selves and how we are perceived by others. This dynamic creates a rich documentation of the human experience, regardless of whether the portrait serves a corporate purpose or a collaborative project. Working from my private studio in Lewisham allows me to engage with a diverse array of individuals—from artists to athletes—often leading to intimate exchanges that become part of a therapeutic photographic process. Trust is essential this one-on-one setting, as creating a safe space for personal exploration is crucial, whether capturing a headshot or the form an athlete.
