I went to Porto for a few days and had a blast. The Portuguese are hospitable, kind, generous and funny. They are also good looking but without pretension. The food was great and the wine even better. Despite the renovations in Porto itself there is something deceptively seductive about the city and within days I had fallen for her. She caressed me with her charms. The sun shone brightly and life felt complete. Sigh.......!!

I spent a weekend in Bordeaux wine tasting with my friend Rav. We visited St.Emilion and explored the village drinking wine and eating delicious food. In a way the experience highlighted the sophisticated elegance of French cuisine and vinification and the effects of this grand historical culture on the people of Bordeaux. Where Porto seemed to entice one to abandon oneself to the excesses of sensuality Bordeaux demanded an intellectual rigour and respect. Definitely not a one night stand. Spent the last days of 2017 in Naples and witnessed one of the most spectacular spontaneous fireworks for the New Year in the city. Was pretty awesome. Then took the high speed train up to Turin and eventually got to Courmayeur high up in the Alps. All shot on the Sony a6500.

During the summer holidays I walked many miles around South east London where i live and took timelapse sequences. It's hard work and I want to do more night time sequences but this will take time. Enjoy the work in progress.

I could feel the tensions of London unravel while sitting on my friends balcony watching the blood moon, quaffing gorgeous wine from Italy and gorging on tasty Swiss cheeses. After an epic travel around the Swiss countryside and experiencing the sheer immensity of the Alps and the intense heat while exploring the villages around Lake Lucerne I have come away with many deep and lasting impressions. The hospitality was second to none and the wonderful humour and inquisitiveness of the Swiss were a delight. Sony cameras have once again produced some stunning images.
